("pawd.," "we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. this privacy policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the pawd. mobile application and website at usepawd.com (collectively, the "service"). please read this policy carefully. if you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the service.
we use the information we collect to:
we do not sell your personal information to third parties. we do not use your information for any purpose beyond what is described in this policy.
pawd. uses Google AdMob to serve rewarded advertisements. AdMob may collect and use data from your device, including advertising identifiers and usage signals, to show you relevant ads and measure ad performance. AdMob's data practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
on iOS, pawd. requests App Tracking Transparency (ATT) consent before allowing AdMob to access your advertising identifier. you may opt out of personalized ads at any time through your iOS device settings under Privacy & Security → Tracking.
pawd. participates in Google's rewarded ad program. when you choose to watch a rewarded ad, 50% of the net revenue generated by that ad is allocated to the pawd. shelter fund and distributed to animal shelters.
when you initiate a donation through the swipe down gesture, pawd. processes the transaction and routes the funds to the designated shelter. we do not store payment card or bank account information. donation records are retained to maintain your shelter fund balance history and provide confirmation of gifts made.
your data is stored on Supabase, a cloud database platform hosted on AWS infrastructure. Supabase applies industry-standard security controls including encryption at rest and in transit (TLS/SSL). access to your data is restricted to authorized personnel and service processes.
while we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. we cannot guarantee absolute security.
we retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. if you request deletion of your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention records).
shelter fund balances that have been inactive for 18 or more months are subject to automatic donation to active shelters on the platform, as described in our Terms of Service. donated balances are not returned.
